Sliding Vane Pump Overview

Sliding vane pumps are positive displacement pumps that can transfer and flow thin liquids and viscous fluids ranging up to 10.000 centistokes. You can use the pump to transfer many shear-sensitive liquids such as cream, glue, paint, etc. The sliding vane pumps have multiple sliding vanes (thus the name), which can slide in and out of slots in the pump rotor.

The pump turns the rotor, creating a centrifugal force that pushes the liquid from the inlet to the discharge outlet. These pumps create pumping chambers within the machine, allowing viscous liquids to flow from one container to another. The fluid moves around the pump casing until it reaches the discharge port.

It also includes the push rods moving in opposing directions in the vanes. Lastly, it contains the liquid pressure inducted through the vane grooves or acting on the vane rear.
